This Saturday is Catharsis, a 2 area trance-dance in the beautiful Mt. Hood forest.

THE LAND: We found a special and very safe place to have this gathering, and you will get there with your friends in less than an hour and a half if you are leaving from Portland. The land is spacious and pretty. There is camping space available, so make sure to bring a tent, you can come early and stay as long as you would like. You will see an amazing view of Mt. Hood from the space and there is a raging river just a short walk from the dancefloors! As usual, keep looking on nw604 closer to the event for detailed directions, but we assure you, there should be no lost dancers at this event, it is very easy to find.

THE MUSIC: We are bringing to you a cornicopia of trance and other music for you to enjoy throughout the night. There will be 2 stages of music... "The Lighter Side," featuring a smattering of downtempo music, amping throughout the night into more midtempo and finally moving to chiller trance vibes througout the early morning; the second stage, "The Darker Side," will feature the heavier variations of psytrance, *while still holding to a nice progression throughout the night and day. We are bringing to you some of your favorite locals as well as some folks that you have never heard play before....

The Line-up for the night is as follows, in relative order...

"The Lighter Side"

Gypsy
Matty2k
Jon Cates
Makoi
B Grade
Luminate

"The Darker Side"

Epsilon
Gorilla Dust
Waater
Ganjan
Malaclypse
Ry.N
Psilobin
Innana
Zoopy

As the sun comes up over the mountain, the "lighter side" will be closing down so that we can all converge together and welcome the beautiful day.

THE SOUND: Both dancefloors will sound great and their systems will be comprable in size. Please understand that we are bringing you clear and beautiful sound to this event. There will be lots of subwoofers, a fair amount of dual 15" stacks, and a grotesque amount of monitors all for your eardrums to bask in.

THE DECORATION/SPACE SHAPING: Many people are contributing to the art that you will be surrounded by at the event. Natural structures, altars, original artwork, beautiful fabrics, shade, stars, moon, trees, river, sun, and mountain.... oh, and flowers, boulders, shiny faces, and the like.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: As with any gathering of lots of people in the woods, we must be conscious of certain things and make sure that we can make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. The forecast for the weekend gives us 107 degree heat on sunday. Though it will be a little cooler in the trees, please bring WATER... lots of WATER, WATER for you and for others... 'they' say to bring 1 1/2 gallons per day per person, we encourage you to see this as a starting point.... and i'll say one more time.... bring lotsa WATER. Also bring food for yourself and your friends, bulk items like trailmix and such go a long ways at quenching hunger. Toilets will be supplied at the event as well, but it wouldn't hurt to bring some of those personal items that you may need, like organic TP, disinfectants, first aid kits and all that trance. Also, of course, sunscreen, cool shades, fans, squirt guns, crazy outfits and the like are strongly recommended.

***This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event. We will not leave this space in dissaray. PLEASE, do everything you can to help your earth and your community by keeping the space clean. This goes for picking up debris that you find on the ground and taking trash away from the event. We encourage you to please take at least one bag of trash away from the event that is not yours. If everyone does this, we will have an easy cleanup and a beatiful space throughout the weekend. Trash bags will be provided at the gate, please use them and ask for more when they are full!

There will be a ride-share thread started very soon. Please carpool, and do so heavily. Save yourself a ton of money and share good company, all with the soothing feeling that you aren't choking the trees with extra, unneeded cars.

Entry is 5$-10,000,000$ and is benifitting the upcoming Goa Gil event in late september. For those unfamiliar with Gil, look him up, i can only sum up so much in a short paragraph. He is a musical shaman, who brings you the most intense sounds that this music has to offer. He plays for 24 hours straight and takes people to the deepest recesses of themselves. His comes here once a year and is welcomed by some of the most beautiful land that Oregon has to offer, as well as the best soundsystem. This event takes months and months to plan and a lot of financial support, so please, donate as much as you can to the future trance experience. If just one person gives us 10,000,000$, we promise to not ask for donations for the rest of the night!

Thank you all, I can't wait to be dancing with you and watching you all turn pink in the sun.

BRING WATER!
